The Sakurauchi Clan

"Where Light Casts Shadow, We Walk Between."

About the Clan

The Sakurauchi Clan, a once-revered lineage of Shinobi in Hingashi, built their legacy on the Way of the Cherry Blossom, a philosophy rooted in balance, honor, and resilience. For centuries, the clan thrived, mastering the arts of stealth, espionage, and assassination while maintaining a deeply rooted culture of discipline and tradition. Their secluded estate, nestled among blooming cherry blossoms, stood as a testament to their unity and dedication to their ideals. Their elite faction, the Silent Blade, embodied the pinnacle of their Shinobi skills, executing missions with unmatched precision and secrecy. However, internal divisions and betrayal led to their downfall on the Day of Ashen Petals, when rival clans launched a devastating attack that destroyed the Sakurauchi estate and annihilated most of the clan. Amid the ruins, the twin sisters Kuroka and Shiroka, the last heirs of the Sakurauchi lineage, survived. Together, they carry the weight of their family’s shattered legacy, striving to preserve its philosophy and ideals while navigating a world that sought their clan’s destruction.Kuroka and Shiroka’s story is a testament to resilience and unity in the face of overwhelming loss. As the last Sakurauchi, they wander Hingashi, seeking to honor their ancestors and keep the memory of the Way of the Cherry Blossom alive, hoping one day their legacy will bloom again.

The Way of Cherry Blossoms - Sakurado

The Sakurauchi clan draws its identity and principles from the timeless beauty and profound symbolism of the cherry blossom. As a family bound by honor, discipline, and harmony, the Way of Cherry Blossoms serves as their spiritual and philosophical foundation.Members of the Sakurauchi clan are expected to carry themselves with poise and refinement, both in their martial arts and daily interactions. Like the cherry blossom, their actions should inspire beauty and respect, leaving an impression on those they encounter.Despite their delicate appearance, cherry blossoms weather storms and thrive under harsh conditions, a reflection of the clan’s resilience. The Sakurauchi believe that true strength lies not in brute force but in enduring life’s challenges with dignity and composure. The clan recognizes that life is fleeting, and thus every moment, relationship, and decision carries weight. The Way of Cherry Blossoms teaches them to act with honor, knowing that their time, like the blossom’s bloom, is limited. Just as the tree’s blossoms and branches work together to create a stunning display, so too must the clan work in harmony to achieve greatness. Each member has a role, and their collective effort brings balance and beauty to the whole.Practices Unique to the Sakurauchi Clan
